Since 1987 in Düsseldorf – Bujinkan Dojo under the direction of Daishihan Nikolaos Stefanidis
After studying the principles of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu under the supervision of grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi and several shihan in Japan, the grandmaster personally rewarded Niko Stefanidis with a 2. degree black belt in 1987. By doing so Hatsumi also awarded him with the title of shidoshi-ho. Niko returned to his home town Düsseldorf, Germany, in order to carry out Hatsumis task: teaching Bujinkan. Without a dôjô to call his own, he began to train in a city park thus attracting the attention of his first students who asked him to be instructed in the martial arts. Soon afterwards, Niko established his own dôjô to teach a continuously growing group of students.
In 2000, the Bujinkan Dojo Düsseldorf moved into the contemporary premises on Münsterstraße.
